By means of this spell, the wizard is able to write a spell on any surface that is capable of being written on within range (i.e. paper, parchment, papyrus, stone, etc.). The spell to be written can come from a spell that the wizard currently has memorized, his/her spellbook, or a scroll. This does not, however, allow the caster to copy a spell onto paper and the like in order to make two scrolls. Normal research must still be done in order to create the scroll, although this spell can be used to aid in the process, cutting the time need to actually write the scroll to 1 round.

The reverse of this spell, unwrite, gives the wizard the ability to automatically erase any non-magical writing. Magical writing such as Explosive Runes, Glyphs of Warding, Sepia Snake Sigils, Wizard Marks, and Illusionary Script are all afffected by this spell but the eighth level spell Symbol is not. Scrolls and spellbooks are also susceptible to this spell and all magical writings have a 40% base chance to be erased plus 10% for every two levels of the casting wizard up to a maximum of 90%

The material component for this spell is a feather from a phoenix dipped in blood from a phase spider. Thes components are expended upon casting of the spell.
