We began in 1989 under the name "OBNOXIOUS" and released 3 demos.
The line-up were:
Adde Johansson - Guitar
Fredde Pettersson - Vocals and Guitar
Daniel Johansson - Bass
Andreas "Buster" Hermansson - Drums

Joakim joined in 1994 and we changed name to "SIDE EFFECTS" and changed music style.
Fredrik gave over the guitar duty to Joakim and focused on his vocals.
We recorded one official demo.
We did four gigs and in late 1997.
Buster decided to leave the band because he moved to Uppsala and joined "THE MIST OF AVALON".
The rest of us thought it would be wrong to continue as SIDE EFFECTS, so we decided to change name, again, to SKINFECTED, one of Fredriks suggestions.
We played with a drummachine for a while and wrote "Addicted to Hate", "Sublevels Within" and "The Frame".
August 1999 the drummachine got kicked out and Andreas Edmark joins the band on drums.
The bands first CD were released in early 2002. "Blessed by ignorance", released on the record label "King Size Records", is a 6 track MCD with Swedish Death metal with influences of other metal genres.
In November 2002 Fredrik Pettersson (vocals) left the band. And the band are looking after a new singer.

We're done 16 gigs so far (until December 2002), and there'll be several more chances to see us live.
