7th May 2001 This day , the first day of the recording went fantastic. Adde laid down his drumtracks for 6 songs in 3 hours more or less.. And the result is really great, we´ll record as many guitartracks as possible tomorrow. The songs that we have recorded are : "The frame", "Illusions of truth", "Only vindictiveness reamains", "Addicted to hate", "Sublevels within" and "Master of all lies". We´ll see how many songs that´ll show up on the CD.. 8th May 2001 We recorded all guitars today. The solos and the additional guitars will be recorded tomorrow. Danne laid down the bass for "The frame" and will continue the rest of the songs tomorrow. Adde, Danne and Fredde got interviewed today for a local newspaper called "Västerås tidning". Well another succesful day has ended.. 9th May 2001 We recorded Dannes bass today, as well as Jockes additional guitar riffs and our clean guitars. Also a solo for "Illusions of truth". Fredde will record the vocals for "Addicted to hate" tomorrow, he has finished the others. Henke Wenngren (Mornaland, Skyfire, Dust) our "producer" sang some kick ass backing vocals on "Only vindictiveness.." And of course Fredde did an amazing job with his vocals. Not to forget all the other members additions, damn guys this record will be a big seller! :) So tomorrow we will record some vocals and my guitarsolos and maybe some extra stuff that might be missing... 10th May 2001 Fredde began this day with "Addicted to hate". I recorded all my guitarsolos and some additional riffs... Another sucessful day! 11th May 2001 Henke and Fredrik (Kjellin) the engineer, worked all morning with mixes. The rest of us showed up later and approved... We mixed down the tracks on CDs so that we can listen at home and hear whats right and whats not. All I can say is that this recording turned out to be much much better that we had thought it would be. So we´ll remix it once again , cause some levels aren´t finished. Fredde, Henke, Tommy (Mornaland, Slumber), Kenneth (Slumber) and myself celebrated the sucessful CD recordings later this night with a couple of beers.. This is the stuff we used during the recording: Jocke - Mesa boogie Mark 3, Marshall 4x12"speaker, Esp Explorer guitar, Boss digital delay. Adde - Fender heartfield guitar , Line 6 POD. Danne - Aria pro bass , Ampeg amp. Adde - Pearl forum series, Tama piccolo snare, DW twin bass pedal, Sabian and various cymbals. |
