To do a good work a dentist must be able to discern the smallest details on very small surfaces. This, everybody knows. That's why the dentist has the kind of lighting used in a operating-theatre. 20.000 lux in the oral cavity provides optimum visual acuity. |
| The light in the surrounding field is many times only as strong as 500-800 lux. This is a problem for the dentist and his team. To change foucs between the diffrent lighting-fields up to 100 times a day, each time creating blind effect which causes tiredness and headache. You can become depressed and in worst cases do a poor job. The rigth field lighting facilitates the job, enhances the concentration and creates a pleasant working enviroment. |
|
The Cacan lighting provides in the surrounding working field 5.200 lux. Therefore the lighting condition is four times lower than the operation-light, which is the most ideal lighting to see and feel well. |
|
To reach 5.200 lux ventilation is needed to cool the surface off the fluorescent tube to about 24°C. The temperature, which have been measured in ordinary fluorescent tubes, is normally 60-70°C. In these cases the degree of efficiency is lowered with 30-40% and you can never obtain 5000 lux. |
| Through the great variations in the lighting-strength, between the operation-light and the ordinary illumination, the working team will be blinded, see poorer and feel bad. The number of lux in the field lighting must be over 5000. It is not enough with the fluorescent tube fitting being ventilated, a good reflector is also needed, which direct the light downwards where it is most needed. The Cacan-fluorescent tube fitting is computer-measured and specially made to give a maximum degree of efficiency. |

The louvres form is of great importance. Louvres with plain surfaces can absorb as much as 30% of the light generated. The Cacan "FullReflex" louvres deliver optimal light through their optical form, which also minimizes the risk of excess brightness and hot spots. |
| With normal fluorescent lights, there is a risk of eye fatigue due to stroboscope effect. The electrical control system with a new generation of 26 mm diameter tubes give flicker-free light which is very comfortable to the eye. |

The light structure is made of strong pressed aluminium extrusion. |
| The fluorescent tube fitting is fully ventilated and pressurized for dust free operation. The air is filtered through an easily replaceable element. |
