Field of application

MicroviscTM is intended exclusively for ophthalmic use. The product is indicated when protection, coating and support of delicate cells and tissues are required, especially at ophthalmic procedures such as: MicroviscTM is primarily used in cataract surgery, where the liquid is injected into the eye in order to maintain the intraocular pressure during extraction of the lens. This has made revolutionary improvement on surgical techniques which has resulted in shortned periods of convalescence for the patients. Previously, a three-week period of convalescence was not unusual. Today, a cataract operation usually doesn´t last for any more than 15 minutes using the most sophisticated and effecive techniques.
