Signed from Motherwell for £30,000 on transfer deadline day in
March 1998. A former Scotland Under 21 who has enjoyed spells
at Clyde, Norwich and Motherwell. He was also been involved
in the Scottish squad for France 98 World Cup qualifiers.
He made his League debut for Reading against Ipswich in
March 1998, and became first choice keeper last season,
enjoying an excellent campaign after early season nerves
and continuing to improve.
