Vemdalens Inn has been open since 1842. The trade route to Norway went past the estate and here one could exchange horses, get proper food and a warm bed.

The house has kept its original charm but has been equiped with modern facilities, including showers and saunas. Fjällvärden's guests are guaranteed a toilet in their room. The rooms are light and fresh with big windows, many with a view of the mountains. There is a choice of single or double rooms with either a double or two single beds.

The inn has it's own restaurant which is known for its delicious food. There is TV and konference rooms on the top floor. The inn is proud of its well stocked wine celler, with often over 2000 bottles of wine!

The inn is within walking distance of the villages facilities, turist information center, grocery shop and petrol station.
