Tom Saldeen |
Tom G.P. Saldeen was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1936 and received his M.D in 1961 and
his Ph.D. in 1963; both from the University of Lund, Sweden. Since 1968 he has been
Professor and Chairman at the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Medical Faculty of
the University of Uppsala, Sweden, and since 1988 he has also been Adjunct Professor at
the Department of Cardiology, University of Florida, USA. He has been Visiting Professor
for one year at the Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital, USA.
Since 1967 he has had a private practice in general Medicine, and since 1975 he has been
scientific advisor at the National Board of Health and Welfare, Sweden. |
| He has published over 400 scientific papers, mainly in cardiovascular
medicine, and is Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart
Association. |
