SSDS - Sub-supplier Documentation Specification

This is the cover page for the documentation package.

Scroll down to view explanations for the documents under the tabs 1 - 12.

For a simple component, not all of the documents may be required. Delivered documents are indicated by a black dot before the document name.

01. List of Documents

A list of all delivered documents in serial number order.

Each document must have a Serial No. on the format XXYY, where XX is the section and YY is 01, 02, 03, etc.

The Serial No. defines the position of the document in the package, for example: The first document under section 5 has the serial No. 0501.

The list shall contain at least:

Serial No., Document name, Document number/identity, Revision index.

02. List of Warnings

A list of warnings directed to operating or maintenance personnel in order to avoid personal injuries and/or severe damage to the equipment.

Must be written in end user language!

03. Installation and Assembly Instructions

Instruction that contains descriptions and instructions for the execution of installation and assembly works.

04. Commissioning Instructions

Instruction that contains the essential information for commissioning of the equipment.

05. Operating Instructions

Instruction that contains the essential details for normal, safe operation and the limits of the manufacturers liability. It describes details of operation and refer to possible sources of danger and their avoidance as well as trouble-shooting.

Must be written in end user language!

06. Drawings

 

 

Examples

All drawings necessary for operation and maintenance.

The number and type of drawings depends on the equipment, see the examples below.

If there is only one drawing, it will have the serial No. 0601.

If there are several drawings, a List of Drawings with the serial No. 0601 will be necessary.

List of Drawings

A list of all drawings under this tab in serial number order.

The list shall contain at least: Serial No., Document name, Document number/identity. as well as links to the drawings 0602.pdf, 0603.pdf, etc.

P&l Diagram

A diagram based on the process flow diagram, representing the technical realization of a process by means of graphical symbols for equipment and piping, together with graphical symbols for process measurement and control functions.

Assembly Drawing

A drawing representing the spatial position and shape of a group of assembled parts, normally drafted to scale.

Cross sectional drawing

A drawing showing typical cross sections of the equipment.

Dimension drawing

Drawing in which essential dimensions and information is given for individual parts.

Single Line Diagram

A document showing the main electrical components and their electrical connection. It also includes the electrical data, e.g. kVA.

07. Component List

A list of all components in KKS order, specifying at least:

KKS, Pos No on drawing, Component name, Manufacturer, Type and Quantity.

08. Component Documentation

Documentation for the components, usually in the form of instruction booklets, brochures and catalogue sheets.

Serial No., KKS, Document name, as well as links to the documents 0802.pdf, 0803.pdf, ...etc.

Component information

System / component information, that must include a description of the system / component(s), as well as service and maintenance instructions.

Each document must have a Serial No. on the format 08YY, where 08 is the section and YY is 02, 03, 04 etc

All Instructions must be written in end user language!

09. Maintainance Instructions

Instructions that contain information for planning and carrying out maintenance of the equipment, including--if applicable--a lubricating schedule, specifying at least:

KKS, Component name, Interval, Oil/grease type, Quantity.

Must be written in end user language!

10. Operation Consumables List

A list of parts that are subjected to wear or have a limited lifetime compared to the lifetime of the equipment as a whole. (in Excel format).

11. Recommended Spare Parts

A specification of recommended spare parts for five years of operation. (in Excel format)

12. Other Documentation

Other documents with important information for the customer.
